This wetlands conservation easement 4 is in the northern section of the Legacy of Leesburg subdivision. The 31.62 acres are almost surrounded by Association property. As with all of the seven conservation easements with the St. Johns Water Management District, this area must remain in its natural state. This nature area contains the pond with the most stable amount of water in Legacy of Leesburg; it appears to be deeper than the pond areas within the large conservation area 3.
The picture below shows the afternoon sun glistening across the water. There are Legacy of Leesburg homes on the far side of the lake. The picture was taken from near a nature trail bordering this section of the lake. There are premium home sites on Pine Straw Road which overlook the trail and the lake–probably be the best location in all of Legacy.
